Plan Vivo's most recent Annual Report has been released. Find out what the Foundation has achieved, the impact Plan Vivo projects have had, and view our income and expenditure for the financial year 2021 - 2022.

This year has been incredibly busy for Plan Vivo. We have welcomed new staff to the team, witnessed the income being directed to communities (from the sale of PVCs) increase by 42%, and released the updated, ICROA-endorsed Plan Vivo Standard (v5.0). 2022 also marked Plan Vivo's 25th anniversary. In September we welcomed around 90 people from our network to Edinburgh for our biennial Stakeholder event, which doubled as anniversary celebrations.

It was back in the 1990s in Chiapas, Mexico, that the name Plan Vivo (or 'living plan') was first coined. Working directly with smallholder farmers, plans were mapped out showing how their land could be used in a different way - to deliver positive impact for nature, climate and communities. 25 years on, the voluntary carbon market has grown and changed, yet Plan Vivo's values (keeping smallholder farmers and communities at the centre of project design, implementation, and benefit) remain the same.

Alongside our growing pipeline and portfolio of registered projects, we have numerous other exciting initiatives under development. This includes the Plan Vivo 'Blue Carbon Hub', PV Nature, and Rabobank's Acorn initiative. Our aim to scale the Plan Vivo model tenfold in the next five years is ambitious, but behind the scenes we have a dynamic team eager to take Plan Vivo into 2023 and beyond.

Here's to the next 25 years!
