The Plan Vivo Foundation (PVF) is currently looking for an Acorn Project Officer. The individual must be organised and highly motivated, with a genuine passion to work in the climate/international development/conservation space. The role will be offered on the basis of a full-time role, initially on a one-year contract.

The Plan Vivo Foundation and Dutch Cooperative bank, Rabobank, have been working closely together to develop the ACORN framework - the first dedicated framework for smallholder agroforestry in the carbon credit market. ACORN stands for ‘Agroforestry CRUs for the Organic Restoration of Nature’ and aims to unlock the international carbon market for smallholder farmers in the developing world.

The main focus of the role will be to provide support across the existing portfolio of projects in the ACORN Programme, as well as supporting the onboarding of new/pipeline projects. The successful candidate will work remotely as part of the PVF operational team (the Secretariat) and be based in the Netherlands (and be willing to occasionally travel to Utrecht and possibly Edinburgh).
