Fes Enying – Cameroon

About the project
In the Adamawa region of Cameroon, where the rainforests of the Congo Basin meet the savannah of the Sahel, an innovative agroforestry project is working to increase food security, mitigate climate change, and diversify livelihood opportunities for local people.
Fes Enying works with the communities of Bankim to establish Home Orchard Planting and Communal Garden Planting, with the aim of bolstering climate and community resilience. The region is increasingly being impacted by unpredictable rainfall, which is affecting agricultural productivity and food security.
The local smallholders and Mbororo Indigenous Peoples actively participate in decision making and project implementation. The project distributes seedlings (such as avocado, orange, lemon) that are raised in local nurseries and distributed to local smallholder farmers.
