Certify a carbon project
PV Climate is our internationally recognised Carbon Standard. With roots stretching back to the 1990s, PV Climate has always looked far beyond carbon, focusing on the climate, environmental and livelihood benefits of community and smallholder-led nature-based projects.
The Standard sets out Plan Vivo’s clear, robust requirements for project design, methodologies, and the independent validation and verification of projects. Once PV Climate certified, projects can issue Plan Vivo Certificates.
Income from the sale of these certificates provides crucial finance for projects with Plan Vivo’s unique revenue sharing model ensuring communities and smallholders receive a fair share of the income.

PV Nature aims to generate high-integrity biodiversity certificates that represent credible and meaningful outcomes for nature, alongside social and climate benefits.
