The people behind Plan Vivo
We’re a passionate and dynamic team, dedicated to promoting climate integrity, social wellbeing and biodiversity restoration across the globe.
Spanning four continents, our team includes our Secretariat (predominantly based in Europe), regional teams in Africa and Latin America, and technical experts based around the world.

Secretariat
Our Secretariat is responsible for the day-to-day running of Plan Vivo and the practical delivery of our work. The team supports projects through their certification journey, manages certification and project operational processes, and acts as the main point of contact for projects, partners, and other stakeholders.
Board
Our independent Board of Trustees provides oversight and strategic guidance. They bring together expertise across forest ecology, conservation, environmental management, international development, finance, climate change, and sustainability, and meet regularly throughout the year to ensure Plan Vivo and its processes remain robust, credible, and fit for purpose.
Technical Advisory Committee
Plan Vivo’s Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) supports the approval of various technical specifications and provides guidance on technical matters. This includes providing recommendations around methodologies and project tools, and supporting the technical development of our Standards.
Technical Review Panel
Plan Vivo has two Technical Review Panels (TRP). One for PV Climate and one for PV Nature. They are made up of experts in various fields, including carbon quantification, ecology, and conservation.
Our TRPs aim to accelerate finance to community-focused nature-based projects and help ensure that projects and their associated methodologies are meeting best practice within the market, giving confidence to investors and buyers.
