PU001 – PLEASE NOTE
- Version 1.1 of this module was approved on May 12th, 2025.
- All projects registered under PU001 V1.0 will be required to update to the newest version of the module at their next carbon baseline reassessment or crediting period renewal (whichever occurs first).
- Projects seeking to complete registration under PU001 V1.0 must have completed validation by May 12th, 2026. These projects will still be required to update to the newest version of the module at their next carbon baseline reassessment period.
PU002
Estimation of baseline and project GHG emissions from carbon pools in Plan Vivo projects
Part of the Plan Vivo Agriculture and Forestry Project Carbon Benefit Assessment Methodology (PM001). Applicable to project interventions that result in net-reduction of GHG emissions from carbon pools as a result of forest protection. It can be used to provide values for baseline and project emissions from eligible carbon pools.

PU003
Estimation of baseline and project GHG emissions from emission sources in Plan Vivo projects
Part of the Plan Vivo Agriculture and Forestry Carbon Benefit Assessment Methodologies (PM001). Applicable to all eligible Plan Vivo project interventions, including agroforestry and farm forestry, changes to cultivation practices, changes to livestock and manure management, afforestation and reforestation, forest restoration, forest protection, and improved forest management.

PU004
Estimation of GHG emissions from leakage in Plan Vivo projects
Part of the Plan Vivo Agriculture and Forestry Carbon Benefit Assessment Methodologies (PM001). It is used to account for leakage due to activity shifting or market leakage, resulting in emissions from carbon pools or emission sources outside of the project area. It can be used to directly estimate leakage or choose conservative leakage discount factors.

PU006
Module for Development, Calibration, Validation and Application of Remote Sensing-based Models of Aboveground Biomass in Smallholder Agroforestry (Acorn)
Provides guidance for model calibration using ground truth data collection, remote sensing data, Aboveground Biomass (AGB) modelling, model validation, and implementation. It describes the minimum requirements and boundary conditions for ground truth data collection, the minimum requirement of spatial and temporal resolution of remote sensing data, and the minimum number of images and data sources necessary to achieve the desired model accuracy.

PU008
Module for Estimating Uncertainty of Carbon Benefits from Small-scale Agroforestry (Acorn)
Provides a method for estimation and propagation of sampling and model uncertainty, and calculation of a corresponding adjustment factor. Model and sample uncertainty are calculated using confidence interval, the residuals, and the mean biomass value in the validation set. The final uncertainty adjustment is represented by parameter 𝑈, and implies that the adjustment factor is calculated on a Project Area Level.
