Brief Description

Carbon Offsets To Alleviate Poverty (COTAP) is a U.S.-based public charity and one of Plan Vivo's longest-running trusted resellers, supporting only Plan Vivo-certified carbon projects. COTAP's mission is to empower individuals and organizations to take action on both climate change and global poverty by connecting their unavoidable carbon emissions with forestry projects which create life-changing income for the world’s poorest people.

When offsetting through COTAP, credit purchases can be distributed evenly between the key projects listed below, or allocated to a specific project (at the buyer's discretion).
