Research institutes

Research institutes may be involved during project development to provide the technical information for technical specifications and during project implementation to provide support to the technical team, conducting activities such as:

• biomass surveys
• baseline studies
• carbon modelling
• providing advice on particular technical problems
• assisting with training workshops for producers
• biodiversity surveys

In the Scolel T project biomass surveys, baseline surveys and carbon modelling were all carried out by ECOSUR (El Colegio de la Frontera Sur)
