Purchasers

Purchasers may be companies, organisations and individuals that wish to offset their carbon dioxide emissions in a way that promotes sustainable livelihoods.

In a Plan Vivo project purchasers buy carbon credits from the producers via the Carbon Fund. The Carbon Fund holds finances provided for carbon credits in trust for the purchaser until carbon offset activities have been monitored and payments are made to producers.
