Producers

Producers may be communities, groups or individuals who register carbon services for sale with the Carbon Fund. Producers must first register carbon offset activities with the Fund. The project administration will organise the sale of resulting carbon credits and once the implementation of these activities has been confirmed payments will be made to the producers. The Carbon Fund can hold registered carbon credits in trust for producers until a sale to a purchaser is confirmed.

Producers are responsible for planning and implementing carbon offset activities, they will retain ownership of carbon credits produced by these activities until a sale to a specified producer is confirmed. Producers must co-operate with all monitoring carried out by the technical team and abide by contracts and sale agreements signed with the Carbon Fund.
