Mixed Forest Plantation
This system involves the planting and management of multi-purpose mixed tree species as a sustainable source of fuelwood and timber. While trees fertilize the soil and provide fodder for livestock, they also contribute to smallholder's short- and long-term needs.
Woodlots are the plantation of forest trees with the aim of supporting local communities. Most woodlots are planted to provide timber, fuelwood, seeds, fruits, honey, etc., which benefit the livelihoods of rural smallholders and communities.
